Sarhad University of Science & Information Technology and Bacha Khan Medical College have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening academic collaboration and creating professional internship opportunities for students enrolled in the BS Computer Science program. The agreement was signed in the presence of Dean/CEO of BKMC, Prof. Dr. Jawad Ahmad, and Director of Sarhad University Mardan Campus, Mr. Muhammad Naseer Afridi.
Under the agreement, students of the 7th and 8th semesters of the BS Computer Science program will be provided internship opportunities at BKMC, MTI Mardan, enabling them to gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional healthcare and administrative environment. The collaboration will also facilitate opportunities for students to undertake Final Year Projects (FYPs) at BKMC, subject to institutional approval and availability of supervision.
The partnership reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry exposure by equipping students with professional skills, technical expertise, and real-world experience. As part of the agreement, both institutions will appoint focal persons to ensure effective coordination, monitor attendance, supervise student progress, and evaluate performance throughout the internship period.
The MoU further emphasizes adherence to institutional policies, professional ethics, confidentiality of official and patient-related information, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Participating students will be required to follow all rules and procedures of BKMC during their internship tenure.
