Unique Infrastructure & Facilities
The department is housed in a modern architectural format at Mardan Medical Complex with specialized areas including:
Museum & Labs: A modern forensic museum with models and specimens, a specialized Serology Lab, and a Toxicology Lab staffed by dedicated toxicologists and lab technicians.
Administrative Wing: Includes the Chairperson’s office, three offices for Assistant Professors, a Demonstrators' office, and a PA/Data Entry office.
Forensic & Mortuary Services: Located in the basement, featuring a proper autopsy room with advanced equipment, mortuary cooling units for the preservation of bodies, and on-site X-ray rooms for forensic radiology.
Medicolegal Clinic: This area includes offices for Medicolegal Officers (MLOs), a record room, and specialized data entry offices for age estimation services.
Academic & Medicolegal Services
The department serves as a core academic hub for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year MBBS students, integrating forensic knowledge throughout their medical education.
